Lance Brooks is an Insights Program Manager at LinkedIn. He specializes in performing data analysis to measure the impact of jobs related products on the platform. Lance received his BA in Sociology from the University of Maryland (2015). He credits the social stratification concentration for providing foundational critical thinking skills that he applies everyday.

Up next, Lance will pursue a JD from the University of Maryland Francis King Carey School of Law with the intention of exploring technological policy and innovation. Lance credits his experience with the Sociology department at UMD for inspiring him to understand the macro level connections between various industries.

My time at the University of Maryland motivated me to question what could be. The Sociology department  faculty and staff helped me discover more about myself than I knew was possible. I came to college with the hope of finding a job, but I ultimately found my purpose.
