About the Speaker:
Michel Guillot earned his MA in Demography from the Institut de Demographie del Universite de Paris in 1996. After graduation he continued his education and in 2000 earned his PhD in Demography and Sociology from the University of Pennsylvania and currently works as an Associate Professor of Sociology at the university. Dr. Guillot's research is organized primarily around formal demography and understanding health disparities across and within populations. He has also studied the health of vulnerable ethnic, religious, and migrant groups from various populations.
