About the Author:
Partha Lahiri currently works as a professor of Survery Methodology and Mathematics at the University of Maryland and as an adjunct professor at the Institute of Social Research at the University of Michigan, Ann Arbor. In 1979, Lahiri earned his B.Sc. in Statistics from Presidency College, India. He then earned his M.Sc. in Statistics from Calcutta University, India in 1982 and completed his Ph.D. in Statistics from the University of Florida, Gainesville in 1986. Lahiri's research interests include survey sampling, small-area estimation, multi- level modeling, record linkage, and Bayes and empirical Bayes methods.
