About the Speaker:
Tova Walsh currently works as an Assistant Professor of the School of Social Work at the University of Wisconsin-Madison. In 2001, she earned her B.A. in Sociology and Politics from Brandeis University. In 2009, she earned her M.Sc. in Psychology and M.A. in Social Work from the Universiy of Michigan, Ann Arbor, and in 2013, earned her Ph.D. in Social Work and Psychology from the University of Michigan, Ann Arbor. Walsh's research interests include: health and mental health across the transition to parenthood, interventions to improve maternal child health outcomes, interventions to support early parent-child relationships and child development, health and wellbeing in military and veteran families, the roles of fathers in families, prevention of violence against women, prevention of child maltreatment.
