"From Diagnosis to Social Diagnosis: A Social Scientist's Guide to 'Diagnosing' Environmental Health Problems."
Tania Jenkins is currently visiting the PSE from Brown University where she is a PhD candidate specializing in medical sociology. Her dissertation research explores inequality in the medical profession. Using comparative hospital ethnography, she examines how stratification is produced among medical residents along the lines of educational pedigree. Other research projects include work on the sociology of diagnosis, especially pertaining to medical authority and its challenges.
