Luther Clark

IT Support Assistant

Luther R. Clark Jr. joined the Sociology staff in October 2013. Previously, he worked for 7 years as a teacher at a private secondary school, instructing students in computer technology and social studies and maintaining the school’s IT infrastructure. He has also worked as a freelance journalist. Luther graduated from the University of Maryland Baltimore County in 2007 with a BA in Philosophy and subsequently earned a networking certificate from Anne Arundel Community College. He is also a Cisco Certified Network Associate and is pursuing a master’s degree in Information Management at UMD’s iSchool. Currently, Luther works as an IT Support Assistant in the Sociology department and in the OACS Help Desk. His duties include troubleshooting IT problems, managing Active Directory account permissions, scripting, and writing documentation for staff and end users.
