Brian Connor is a Lecturer of Sociology and Director of the Sociology BA/MA 5-year program at the University of Maryland. He regularly teaches courses in Cultural Sociology and Sociological Theory, as well as occasional courses in Privacy and Surveillance and Social Movements. His research interests are in cultural sociology, political sociology, and social theory. Currently his research examines differences in public perceptions of state and corporate invasions of privacy.
