Aaron works with the Department’s Chair to ensure adherence to college and university policies, and works with faculty on APT/AEP cases. He works with the Director of Administrative Services to ensure the department’s budgetary, administrative and service functions are operating at optimal efficiency. Aaron directs and oversees all academic programmatic activities for the Department, and serves as the departmental liaison to the BSOS Dean's Office and other units on campus. He manages and oversees academic support functions in the Department, and partners with the Chair, Associate Chair, and the Director of Administrative Services to implement departmental initiatives. He also provides proposal development support for faculty and graduate student researchers, and supports the work of the Graduate Office.
Aaron earned an MA and a PhD in Theatre & Performance Studies at the University of Maryland. His research focuses on antebellum American theatre and playwriting, and his dissertation is titled, "So as to Compass the Interest: Artisan Dramaturgy, Copyright Reform, and the Theatrical Insurgency of 1856." Aaron comes to Sociology after four years with the University Senate.
