Joey Brown

Doctoral Candidate

I am interested in relationships among race and debt. My dissertation will examine relationships between race and debt across the life course and intergenerationally.  I want to understand how family debt relates to individual well-being within and across racial & ethnic groups, how this has changed over time, and how debt is associated with family well-being.

My Master's research examined moral judgment assessments in small groups.  I conducted an experimental study of the moral  judgments people made about their partners after a small group exchange exchange task.
