Yuko Hara is a second year doctoral student in Sociology. She grew up in Japan and graduated from Keio University with a degree in Sociology. After working for Sony as a marketer, she obtained a master’s degree in East Asian Studies from Harvard University. She has professional experience in market research and public policy research. From 2010 to 2015, she has worked as a research assistant for the Gender Equity and Low Fertility project at Harvard, a mixed-methods sociological study that seeks to explain “lowest-low” fertility in postindustrial societies. Yuko is interested in gender and family issues, workplace policies, and demography.
