Hannah Kleman

Doctoral Student

Theories of nonviolent resistance forward support to the claim that violence undermines a campaign's goals and their ability to garner support from the public and legitimate sources. Hannah is interested in studying the strategic choice of nonviolence and how organizations mobilize when they pursue such form of resistance. At the same time, they are curious as to why some organizations engage in violence despite its counterproductive nature. Hannah studies nonviolent and violent campaigns, the military, and the role of ideology.
