Mollie Greenberg, MA, is a PhD candidate in the Department of Sociology at the University of Maryland. Her work focuses on stigma and status processes as they relate to marginalized groups--primarily  people with physical disabilities. She studies how the stigma of physical disability affects the perception and treatment of disabled individuals and how origin and type of physical disability influence stigma and status allocation.
