Theories of nonviolent resistance forward support to the claim that violence undermines a campaign's goals and their ability to garner support from the public and legitimate sources. Han is interested in studying individual and organizational nonviolent mobilization.  At the same time, they are curious as to why some engage in violence despite its counterproductive nature. Han studies mobilization and ideology.
