Cameo Spiegel-Saegert is a University of Maryland sociology doctoral student. Her research interests include social psychology, sociology of technology, gender and leadership, implications of misinformation/disinformation, and social media’s effects on individual and group behavior. As a Second Lieutenant in the United States Air Force, she believes her pursuit of sociological knowledge is critical in her development as a military leader, mentor, and researcher. 

Before attending the University of Maryland as a graduate student, she earned a B.S. in Behavioral Sciences and Leadership from the United States Air Force Academy (class of 2022). She is committed to returning to the Air Force Academy as a faculty member for the Department of Behavioral Sciences and Leadership.
