Abirami Venkateswaran was born and raised in Tamil Nadu, India. She completed her undergraduate degree in English Literature at Bharathiar University and earned a master's in Applied Sociology from Christ University, India. After graduating, she spent two years as a high school teacher. Her major interests include gender inequality, family dynamics, education, and policy-making in developing countries, with a particular focus on India.
