Mo's primary research interests and the focus of his dissertation are gender and race/ethnic patterns and disparities in U.S. labor markets. In 2014, Mo was awarded the National Science Foundation Graduate Research Fellowship to study patterns of race and gender segregation in the workplace. Mo now serves as a social science expert and statistician on a variety of different types of systemic discrimination investigations for the Equal Employment Opportunity Commission.
