Yajie Xiong is a PhD student in the Sociology Department. Yajie's research examines the risk and protective factors that impact physical and mental health, with a particular focus on the psychosocial processes shaping health inequalities across the life course. Another research interest of Yajie lies in the intergenerational family dynamics within East Asian societies, especially the interplay of gender systems, historical contexts, and individual life courses within. Yajie is also interested in different quantitative research methods in social science.
