Robert W. Janes Award for an Outstanding Graduate Student
The Robert W. Janes Award for an Outstanding Graduate Student in the University of Maryland Sociology Department is given each year to a graduate student whose exemplary work has been recognized by the Sociology faculty. It is named for Professor Janes (1964-1984), and given in honor of his commitment to graduate education and his love of ideas.
