Sociology is a major that provides students with a broad skillset that enables them to have many possible career paths. Sociology alumni have had diverse careers in human resources, administration, data science, research, law, teaching, counseling, nonprofit work and more. Students can link sociology with a double major or have a sociology major and a supporting area in a specialty related to one's intended profession (in such fields as criminal justice, direct human services, planning, or health). We also offer a minor in Sociology and a minor in Demography; and our five year BA/MA program allows students to graduate in five years with a Masters in Sociology.
