On behalf of the Graduate Committee, Director of Graduate Studies Philip Cohen recently announced that Polina Zvavitch has been awarded the Milton Dean Havron Social Sciences Award. The Havron Award is given to a graduate student who has demonstrated scholarship and academic excellence. The Sociology and Psychology Departments alternate selecting recipients of the annual award.

Zvavitch will present her dissertation research on "The Socioeconomic Associations with Women’s Partnership Formation and Dissolution in Russia, Germany, and the United States" at a presentation on Thursday, November 11.
