Benchmark 1: SOCY majors must complete the following courses within two semesters of entering the major:

• Academic Writing with D– or higher
• Additional Gen Ed course 1 with D– or higher
• Additional Gen Ed course 2 with D– or higher
• MATH107, 111, 120, 140 or STAT 100 with C– or higher
• SOCY100/110 (NEW) with C– or higher
• SOCY Foundation course (NEW) with C– or higher
